Meet Yildiz Layne

Every great design starts with an even better story.

Originally from Istanbul, Turkey Yildiz moved by herself to the United States at the age of 25. She had a bachelor’s degree in human resource development from studying in Turkey, but she wanted to follow her passion for designing. She went back to school and earned an Interior Design degree from Miami Dade College.

After graduating, she worked at three high end design firms in South Florida before launching YGL Interiors.

With over 18 years of interior design experience, Yildiz approaches every project with the same level of enthusiasm, whether helping a client select a single accessory or a full remodel of an entire home. Her attention to detail is beyond extraordinary; she thrives in details that are often overlooked and incorporates comfort and aesthetics within every home.

With experience in both construction, and furnishings, Yildiz excels in creating a total home solution for her clients. She enjoys blending function and form to provide a space that clients are proud to call home.

Beyond Designing

Yildiz’s friends describe her as a vivacious, energetic woman with a passion for detail with a unique ability to connect with others.

She is an accomplished athlete who has completed 70.3 Ironman Triathlons and competed in many other fitness competitions. She also loves fashion, beauty, clients who become friends, and animals – she has two rescue cats and a Yorkie-Poo.

She is married to Jerry Layne who owns ACCI • Shades in Motion, a Lutron motorized window treatment company. They met in 2004 on a project they both were working on. They are a powerful duo when it comes to design, and they also share the same athletic interests.

They collaborate on many projects past and present. Together, they offer a vast wealth knowledge and experience especially when it comes to window treatment design and implementation.
