MEET YILDIZ LAYNE
Yildiz is described by her friends as a vivacious, fun, enthusiastic, loyal, considerate, and resourceful individual with a passion for detail, and a unique ability to connect with others.
Other than her passion for interior design she also is an accomplished athlete who has completed 70.3 Ironman Triathlons and competed in many other fitness competitions.
In addition to her athletic pursuits, she loves fashion, travel, food, clients who become friends, and animals – she has two rescue cats Piper and Roxy and a Yorkie-Poo, Peanut.
She is married to Jerry Layne, the owner of ACCI • Shades in Motion, a Lutron motorized window treatment company. They met in 2004 while working on a project together. They are a powerful duo when it comes to design, and they also share the same athletic interests. They collaborate on many projects, offering a vast wealth of knowledge and experience, especially in window treatment design and implementation.

Yildiz, originally from Istanbul, Turkey, moved to the United States by herself at the age of 25, not knowing anybody. She held a bachelor’s degree in human resource development from her studies in Turkiye (Turkey) but wanted to pursue her passion for design. She returned to school and earned a degree in Interior Design from Miami Dade College.
After graduating, she gained experience working at three high-end design firms in South Florida before launching YGL Interiors.
With 20 years of interior design experience, Yildiz approaches every project with equal enthusiasm selecting a single accessory, undertaking large-scale renovations or new builds.
Her attention to detail is extraordinary; she frequently incorporates state-of-the-art tech components into her projects, excels in often overlooked details, and combines comfort and aesthetics in every home.
With experience in both construction and furnishings, Yildiz excels in providing a comprehensive home solution for her clients. She enjoys blending function and form to create a space that clients are proud to call home.
